The Role We are seeking a Site Support Engineer to join our friendly, professional, and highly driven Engineering team to provide Site Engineering support for the Sales and Operations team for the Hazelmere site. Reporting to the Engineering Manager your main responsibilities will be: SolidWorks Library Management Interpret GA, Fabrication, and assembly drawings to provide technical assistance to the Manufacturing team. Create BOM’s, parts list, routes and packing lists using SolidWorks and integrate with our ERP/MRP System. Produce Installation Assembly drawings using solid works Create/or modify documentation to support new and existing products Checking Information and approvals prior to manufacture. Provide on-site support and assistance with manufacture or installation queries Ensure Products and Services comply with AS Standards such as AS2304, AS1170, AS1657, AS3500, AS1851 and AWWAD103 Working closely with Operations Manager, Project Managers and Designers to implement site improvement plans Engage in Team meetings and provide regular progress updates Streamline processes and value engineering About You: 2-3 years’ experience in computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided engineering (CAE) computer program, i.e. SolidWorks, PDM, FEA, Simulation etc. 2-3 years’ experience in steel manufacturing industry, preferably associated with Commercial Water Storage Tanks highly desirable Tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Civil Engineering preferred Strong understanding of FEA techniques, sheet metal work, welding & fabrication Ability to develop technical literature – manuals, work procedures, installation procedures etc. Demonstrated ability to deliver consistent results in full and on time.
