The Townsville region is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Trainee Registrar to join the Sexual Health team within the Women's and Children's Service Group at the North Ward Campus. This temporary full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to provide clinical care for individuals presenting with sexually transmitted infections (STIs), HIV, viral hepatitis, and other sexual health-related conditions.
This role involves delivering culturally appropriate sexual health clinical care in a specialist environment working within a collaborative practice model of care. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, the ability to work effectively in a team, and be passionate about providing high-quality patient care.
As a trainee in the Australian Chapter of Sexual Health Medicine or someone who plans to become a trainee, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in education and teaching, as well as supervision of junior staff. You will also be involved in leadership roles and assisting in training staff and students.

This role requires the following qualifications and skills:
* Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration
* Highly regarded: The ability to deliver culturally appropriate sexual health clinical care (incorporating STIs, HIV, Hepatitis B & C, and fertility control) in a specialist environment working within a collaborative practice model of care.
* Experience in other infectious diseases, sexual counselling, health education, epidemiology, and computer literacy are desirable.
