The Domestic Admissions and Scholarships team has a fixed-term vacancy (until May 2027) for an Admissions Coordinator.
This position plays a key role in ensuring high‐quality, efficient assessment and management of undergraduate and non‐award direct admission applications, including:
* Direct undergraduate pathway admissions
* EmpowerED for University Preparation Program admissions
* Internal transfer requests
* The coordination and/or support of admissions processes for the Arts, Education and Law (AEL) Group, including:
* Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University (QCGU)
* Queensland College of Art and Design (QCAD)
* Queensland Academy of Excellence in Musical Theatre
* Griffith Film School (GFS)

Responsibilities
The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for:
* Coordinating the assessment and processing of direct applications in accordance with University policies and entry requirements.
* Providing expert advice to applicants, academic stakeholders, and internal colleagues.
* Supporting specialised AEL selection processes, auditions, portfolios, and interview‐based entry requirements.
* Ensuring consistent, high‐quality admissions decisions and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
* Troubleshooting complex cases, applying policy with sound judgement, and escalating when required.
* Maintaining accurate records and data integrity across admissions systems
* Producing high-level reporting for formal reviews, operational needs and time‐critical reporting to support operational decision making.
Required Skills and Capabilities
Applicants should demonstrate the key capabilities outlined in the Position Description, including:
* Strong knowledge of admissions processes, policy interpretation, and academic entry requirements.
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
* Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex information clearly.
* Proven ability to manage competing priorities in peak operational periods.
* Strong stakeholder and relationship‐building skills across academic groups and central teams.
* Competence with Griffith admissions systems (e.g., Degree Works, CRM, Peoplesoft) or ability to rapidly learn new systems.
* Reporting ability to produce accurate, timely admissions reports and dashboards that inform operational decisions and compliance.
* Analytical ability to interpret data and identify issues or trends.
* A collaborative, solutions‐focused approach.
What we can offer
This a fixed term (until May 2027), full time position based at the Brisbane South (Nathan) campus. As Griffith is a multi‐campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations.
Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 7: $ 101,068 – $ 109,496 p.a. + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be $118,249 – $128,110 per annum.
