Job Description
The Clinical Nurse (CN) plays a vital role in the planning, managing, and delivering of perioperative specialist nursing care. This position requires advanced clinical and problem-solving skills, expert planning and coordination abilities in the clinical management of perioperative patients with complex care needs.
* Clinical Leadership: The CN provides clinical leadership for professional and clinical practice, education, and research within the healthcare team structure.
* Collaboration: The successful candidate will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support patient care needs.
Responsibilities
The Clinical Nurse is responsible for:
* Delivering Safe and Researched-Based Standards of Nursing Care
* Providing Complex and Multi-Disciplinary Care
* Working Collaboratively in a Multidisciplinary Healthcare Team to Support Patient Care Needs
* Acting as a Role Model for Safe Practice
* Delivering Education and Support to Individuals/Patients for the Management of Their Health Recovery, Rehabilitation, or End-of-Life Needs
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
* Authority to Work in Australia
* Working with Children Check (if Relevant)
* Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or Equivalent
* Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA
* Experience in the Theatre Environment
* Previous Experience in Clinical Education and Training
* Ability to Influence at Various Hospital Levels, Plan Efficiently, and Effectively, and Show Drive to Achieve Results
* Outstanding Relationship Building and Communication Skills
* Productive in a Self-Directed Environment
* Able to Communicate with People on a Variety of Knowledge Levels
* Clinical Expertise and Commitment to High-Quality Patient Care and Continuous Improvement
