It’s in our DNA to defy convention and continuously evolve – and we’re looking for people who share that mindset.As the Warehouse Manager, you will lead a team of supervisors, team leaders, and warehouse staff to deliver operational excellence within our 36,000 m2 national distribution centre located in Epping. You’ll play a critical role in driving safety, managing performance, ensuring service delivery, and leading strategic improvements within a unionised workforce. This role is vital in supporting Mazda’s dealer network and upholding our reputation for quality and reliability.This position requires a full-time, on-site presence five days a week, fostering a collaborative work environment and promoting effective teamwork. Site hours of operation are 07:00 to 23:00 and you will need to have flexibility to work within those hours as required.Key Responsibilities:Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with WHS standards.Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, dispatch, and inventory management.Lead and develop a team of supervisors, team leaders, and warehouse staff.Manage freight, logistics, and service provider performance.Maintain and enhance warehouse layout, capacity, and operational efficiency.Oversee budget management, contractor work, maintenance, and security.Drive continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with departments like Supply Chain, HR, and WHS.About you:Demonstrated experience managing a unionised workforce, including applying enterprise bargaining agreements and effectively handling employee and industrial relations matters. Automotive warehouse experience will be highly regarded.To be successful, you will have:Tertiary qualifications in business, logistics, or a related field.5+ years of experience in warehouse management, ideally in a unionised environment.Proven leadership experience and ability to manage and develop teams.Strong understanding of WHS standards, warehouse systems, and best practices.Financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and performance metrics.Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.A flexible, proactive mindset and ability to lead change and continuous improvement.About Mazda Australia:Welcome to Mazda Australia, where innovation and passion converge to redefine the automotive experience.
