Rise is looking for Disability Support Workers (experienced and recently qualified) to join our casual team working across multiple supported living homes around the East Metro of Perth and within the Perth Community.
As a Support Worker at Rise, you will:
* Support people with disabilities to identify their strengths, set goals and work towards what matters to them.
* Encourage independence by guiding decision-making and problem-solving, rather than doing things for people.
* Adapt your approach to suit different clients, environments and needs.
* Role model positive behaviours and mentor people to build confidence and resilience.
* Assist with daily living activities in line with individual care and support plans.
* Support people to explore interests, participate in their community and develop valued roles.
* Work in partnership with families, carers and colleagues to achieve shared outcomes.
* Maintain professional boundaries while bringing empathy, respect and reliability to every shift.
* Provide accurate feedback and reporting to ensure supports remain responsive and person-centred
What we're looking for:
* Reliability, flexibility and wide availability across days, evenings, weekends and sleep shifts.
* Qualification in Individual Support (e.g. Disability, Aged Care) and/or relevant experience
* A person-centred approach that values choice, dignity and respect.
* The ability to build trust and adapt to different clients and environments.
* Strengths-based thinking that encourages independence and growth.
* Collaboration and communication with families, carers and colleagues.
* Commitment to professional boundaries, reflection and continuous learning.
Formalities (The serious stuff)
Appointments will require the following:
* NDIS worker screening check. Costs for new checks will be covered and/or reimbursed by Rise.
* Driving licence with use of a reliable vehicle for work purposes
* First aid certificate (HLTAID009 and HLTAID010) or willingness to obtain
Interviews for this position will be scheduled across three days, Monday 3 November to Wednesday 5 November.
Tentative induction days are planned for early/mid-December.
