Job Description
We are currently recruiting for the full-time position of Export Contracts & Documentation Officer based in our office in Abbotsford. This position will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate production of export container shipment documentation.
Responsibilities
- Manage container / bulk shipping, including liaising with customers, accepting vessel nominations, and communication with packing houses, bulk handling companies, transport operators, shipping companies, banks, superintendents, and Government departments.
- Preparation of shipping documents including Letters of Credit.
- Coordination of container packing with packers.
Experience / Qualifications
- Warehouse operations.
- Supply Chain & Rail / Road Logistics.
- Grains and Pulses Industry (preferred).
- Department of Agriculture Experience (preferred).
- Proven international trade finance and export documentation experience.
- Tertiary qualifications in agriculture and/or business desirable but not essential.
- Experience in the bulk commodity and/or container export industry.
- High attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to work within a team environment.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to interact effectively with employees, customers and third parties.
