The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Logistics Operator to carry out operations as assigned, including managing client relationships, safety, environmental, productivity, quality and progress to achieve contract performance. This role will see you based at RAAF Edinburgh or Hampstead in a permanent, full-time position.
Key Responsibilities
* Meet contractual obligations.
* Manage receipt and issue of stores and equipment.
* Store equipment in stock, mark where necessary, and stow in appropriate locations.
* Issue and receipt equipment from customers.
* Assist with record keeping and documentation.
* Perform tasks associated with stores issues.
* Utilise the MILIS system as required.
* Conduct stocktakes of stores and equipment as directed.
* Pack stores for dispatch.
* Operate forklifts as directed.
* Maintain a clean working environment within stores and warehousing areas.
* Direct customer queries.
* Advise supervisors of any issues affecting service delivery or client relationships.
* Ensure contractual obligations are met with respect to service delivery.
Requirements
* C-Class Driver's Licence applicable for manual and automatic vehicles.
* Able to work individually or in a team under general supervision.
* High Risk licence and proficiency in forklift operations.
* Well-developed computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Results-focused with problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively.
* Previous Defence experience in a Defence Store is an advantage.
* Demonstrated autonomy and high degree of motivation, energy, initiative and commitment.
* Ability to balance security requirements with promoting healthy routines for clients.
* Eligibility to hold a Defence Security Clearance up to Negative Vetting Level 1.
* Must be an Australian Citizen.
