Job Description

A Parkland Horticulturist is responsible for maintaining and enhancing gardens, outdoor spaces and parks to the highest standards. They will work closely with colleagues to ensure the delivery of a high-quality horticultural service that meets the needs of customers and stakeholders.

Key aspects of this role include: performing tasks such as planting, weeding, pruning and watering; operating and maintaining gardening tools and equipment; preparing soil, mulch and plant beds; working outdoors in various weather conditions and adhering to safety protocols.

* * Previous experience in horticulture or a related field;
* A valid Driver's License;
* A Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one;
* Good physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects;
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adhere to instructions.

* Maintaining high standards of work quality and efficiency.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* Previous experience in landscaping, gardening or a related field;
* A valid Driver's License;
* A White Card;
* A Working with Children Check, or the willingness to obtain one.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment. They will also have a strong understanding of horticultural principles and practices.
