Financial Policy Manager
This is a mid-senior level role that requires a strong understanding of financial and accounting principles.
The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking research and analysis to provide advice on issues related to the financial and accounting impacts across the local government sector.
They will develop policy for consideration related to the implementation of financial management practices and application of accounting principles.
Key responsibilities include contributing to the efficient delivery of all related activities leading to the implementation of financial and accounting policy.
Additionally, they will participate as a member of the Directorate's senior management team and maintain a constructive and collegiate discipline within the team.
Assists in the planning and management of the Local Government Financial Policy and Accounting Support's team's tasks and resources, including the development and monitoring of operational and team plans.
Coaches and trains employees, including resolution of complex research problems.
