About the role
We are seeking reliable and compassionate Food Services Assistants to join our team at our residential aged care home in Morwell .
You will play a key role in delivering meals and supporting catering services, ensuring residents receive safe, nutritious and enjoyable dining experiences in line with food safety standards.
Salary – $28.67 – $29.78 per hour + 25% casual loading + NFP benefits
Casual role with shifts across a 7-day roster (including weekends)
Key responsibilities
Delivery of meals across dining areas within a residence.
Ability to work with other catering staff and assist with the preparation of basic food stuff if required or directed by a supervisor.
Provide support for function planning and delivery.
Ensure all catering facilities' food safety program schedule is adhered to.
Assist customers with service delivery in line with the Aged Care Quality Standards.
Ensuring all staff in the catering department maintain safe food handling practices and compliance.
About you
Warm, reliable and team-oriented approach
Ability to understand and respond to residents’ needs
Availability to work across a 7-day roster
Food Handling and Hygiene Certificate (essential)
Previous experience in aged care or catering (preferred)
Knowledge of food safety practices and HACCP compliance
Compliance / Checks required
National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
Relevant worker screening/clearance as required
Proof of working rights in Australia
Willingness to complete a medical assessment
