Homelessness Support Specialist
The role of a Homelessness Support Specialist is a contract position that supports individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of it to access sustainable housing outcomes, education, and employment opportunities.
* This specialist will promote client-centred, strength-based practice consistent with the Social Futures Practice Framework;
* Promote quality interventions and case management services for participants with complex needs;
* Collaborate with stakeholders, service providers, and participants to develop their capacity for positive change;
This specialist requires relevant qualifications, skills, and experience working in the homelessness sector, particularly in promoting social futures practices and providing high-quality services.
In this role, you will work closely with participants to empower them and support them in developing their capacity for positive change. You will also collaborate with other professionals in the field to ensure a coordinated response to the needs of participants.
To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You should also have a strong commitment to promoting social justice and addressing the root causes of homelessness.
