Job Description:
We are looking for an Assistant Operations Manager to join our team at Gold Coast Airport, where you'll play a key role in managing six diverse outlets and delivering exceptional experiences to many travellers every day.
As our Assistant Operations Manager, you'll be the driving force behind smooth daily operations across our food and beverage outlets. You'll work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure every detail—from service quality to financial performance—is executed flawlessly.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead with Purpose: Motivate, train, and support your team to deliver exceptional service and create a positive, inclusive work environment.
* Customer Service : Be proactive in resolving issues, anticipating needs, and excellent service.
* Drive Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
* Collaborate on menu planning, promotions, and events—bringing bold ideas to life.
* Support financial performance by monitoring budgets, controlling costs, and meeting targets.
* Maintain accurate stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.
* Ensure full health and safety compliance across all food and beverage areas.
* Uphold company standards in performance, conduct, and policy.
* Keep outlets clean, organised, and service‑ready every day.
* Create effective staff rosters to ensure proper coverage.
* Train, coach, and review staff to build capability and engagement.
What We Are Looking for:
* Proven experience in hospitality or food & beverage management.
* Strong understanding of food and beverage operations.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
