Job Overview
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for completing repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products. This includes diagnosing and repairing engines, disassembling, inspecting, and cleaning engines and/or engine components.
Key Responsibilities
* Complete repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products
* Diagnose and repair engines
* Disassemble, inspect, and clean engines and/or engine components
* Engine rebuilding and reconditioning
* Maintain work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
* Assist with completion of required documentation, such as work completed documentation, time sheets, warranty claims, and quality forms
* Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Cert III) or equivalent
* Basic level of workshop or field service experience required
* Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
* Heavy Vehicle Experience preferred
* HR License preferred
* Must be certified to work in NSW
Benefits and Working Conditions
* Full Time / 38 hours per week
* Day Shift (06:30 – 14:36)
* Saturdays available
* Overtime as required – Penalty rates paid for all work above 38 hours
* Safety equipment / PPE and uniforms are provided and laundered
* Local Valid Drivers License
