Overview
Applications are being sought for a Community & Partnerships Coordinator in the Marketing Department.
Reporting to the Communications and Partnerships Manager and working within the Marketing department, this hands-on Community and Partnerships Coordinator position supports the implementation of partnerships and sponsorship agreements by coordinating activities, maintaining partner relationships, and assisting with the evaluation and delivery of agreed benefits in accordance with the sponsorship program policies that ensure fair process.
The Community and Partnerships Coordinator supports the Communications and Partnerships Manager by coordinating and implementing Spirit of Tasmania partnership and sponsorship initiatives and ensuring deliverables are actioned, procedures are followed and effective record-keeping is maintained.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with the Communications and Partnerships Manager to support the delivery of community engagement, partnership initiatives and maintain accurate records of activity and deliverables.
* Support the implementation of the Company's partnership and sponsorship strategy by coordinating agreed activities and timelines.
* Proactively build relationships with schools, sporting clubs, businesses, and community groups to generate partnerships and community engagement.
* Coordinate and implement partnership and sponsorship opportunities, initiatives and promotions in line with approved plans.
* Coordinate and implement agreed content, promotions and activations from partnership and sponsorship agreements.
* Support social media activity with local content ideas and community engagement updates.
* Identify local sponsorship or collaboration opportunities aligned with brand objectives.
* Support delivery of partnership goals and objectives on time and effectively by tracking actions, raising risks and escalating issues early.
* Maintain day-to-day contact with existing partners and support relationship management activities for new and existing partners.
* Monitor the delivery of Sponsorships and Partnerships activity, including tracking agreed benefits, timelines and outcomes.
* Coordinate the review of sponsorship requests in line with the Company's Sponsorship Policy, preparing supporting information for consideration by the Sponsorship Committee.
* Contribute to the annual planning process by providing inputs, learnings and performance information to support partnership and sponsorship planning.
* Work closely with other members of the marketing team to support partnership opportunities, including coordination of internal inputs and approvals.
* Maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders and support effective communication across teams and partners.
* Organise travel requests for ship travel and gift vouchers.
* Assist with monthly management and Board reporting as required, including collating information, maintaining records and filing key documents.
* Organise, support and attend corporate events and functions as required, including logistics, run sheets and partner liaison.
* Coordinate and assist with ad hoc events and promotions as required.
* Assist with other departmental responsibilities and specific projects as delegated.
Qualifications / Experience
* Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, and/or Communications.
* Experience and knowledge of partnership/sponsorship programs.
* Experience in developing and executing Sponsorships and Partnerships.
* Experience utilising a web-based email marketing software.
* Experience in updating and maintaining website content using a content management system (CMS).
* Broad marketing/sales knowledge.
* Experience working a similar role within the travel sector.
