We are seeking a proactive Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about promoting a safe work environment.


Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring health and safety plans and procedures across our sites. They will ensure that all personnel are aware of and comply with these plans, and that any hazards or risks are identified and mitigated.


Key Responsibilities:

* Proactively identify and address potential health and safety issues, and communicate effectively with site personnel and management.
* Develop and maintain effective health and safety policies, procedures, and systems, and ensure they are accessible and easily understood by all personnel.
* Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements, and report any incidents or near-misses to the appropriate authorities.
* Provide training and support to personnel on health and safety procedures and protocols, and promote a culture of safety awareness throughout the organization.
* Collaborate with other teams to develop and implement effective health and safety solutions, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

* Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
* Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and their application on construction sites.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders.
* Ability to identify hazards, assess risks, and take proactive measures to ensure site safety.
* Knowledge of incident investigation techniques and reporting requirements.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
* Construction Induction Card (White Card) and Open Driver's License.
* Ability to pass a medical examination as required by clients.
* Proof of working rights in Australia or New Zealand.
