About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Townsville Golf Club Inc. as a Sponsorship and Events Coordinator. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive sponsorship and events strategies to drive revenue and enhance the club's profile in the local community. This position is based in Townsville, QLD 4810.
Australian work rights are required for this position.
What you'll be doing
* Identifying and securing new sponsorship opportunities to grow the club's sponsorship portfolio
* Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with existing sponsors to ensure ongoing support
* Developing and implementing a calendar of engaging member and community events to drive participation and club visibility
* Overseeing the end-to-end delivery of all events, including logistics, promotion, and evaluation
* Collaborating with the marketing team to maximise exposure for sponsors and promote events effectively
* Analysing event and sponsorship performance data to identify areas for improvement and inform future strategies
* Contributing to the overall marketing and communications objectives of the Townsville Golf Club Inc.
What we're looking for
* 3-5 years of experience in event management, sponsorship, or a related field within the marketing and communications industry
* Demonstrated success in securing and managing corporate sponsorships, with a strong network of industry contacts
* Local contacts within the region and established relationships within the sponsorship industry
* Exceptional event planning and coordination skills, with the ability to multitask and work under pressure
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships
* Proficiency in event-related software and digital marketing tools
* Intermediate level proficiency in event-related software and digital marketing platforms
* A passion for the sports and leisure industry, with a keen understanding of the golf club environment
* Event experience across any industry will be considered, with passion for sports and leisure being most important
