Sutton Farms is a family-owned and operated fresh produce business based in the Lockyer Valley. We specialize in growing high-quality tomatoes, spring onions, lettuce, wombok, and other small crops year-round, delivering fresh produce to our customers nearly every day.
With approximately 900 acres of cultivated land across multiple sites in the Lockyer Valley and Darling Downs, we supply all major central markets along the east coast and leading supermarket chains, making our produce available in most states of Australia.
Our diverse team of over 150 comes from various backgrounds and nationalities, all working together to bring fresh, locally grown produce to Australian tables.

The Role
Sutton Farms is looking for Facility Supervisor to join our team in the Lockyer Valley in one of our packing facilties (tomato, spring onion or wombok). The successful applicant will require:
* Willingness to learn and perform tasks to the required standards
* Ability to follow direction from Upper Management
* Good communication, team building and interpersonal skills
* Own reliable transport and licence
In terms of experience and qualifications, the successful applicant shall have at least one of the following:
* At least a relevant AQF Certificate III or Certificate IV qualification or equivalent, or
* 3 years employment experience as a Facility Supervisor with relevant formal training, or
* 5 years employment experience as a Facility Supervisor with no formal training
Duties include, but are not limited to:
* Ensure correct handling and processing of product to meet customers' requirements including grading, grading, packing, cool chain, hygiene and dispatch
* Assess incoming product regarding quality and determine grading resources
* Monitor quality of product through various stages in production shed, washing, 1st, 2nd and final grading, packing and dispatch
* Rectify any issues due to mechanical damage/grading quality
* Liaise with Harvest Supervisor/Maintenance Manager/Dispatch Manager
* Ensure all Quality Assurance (QA) records are correct, allowing for complete traceability
* Manage correct cool chain when handling and dispatch of product
* Supervise, and manage rostering aligning with other work areas/facilities, and employee requirements, along side management
* Ensure all personnel are trained and performing as per standard procedure, reviewing competency of the team and making appropriate adjustments for improved performance
* Ensure all waste products are handled as per standard procedure
