Job no: 506512Employment type: Full TimeLocation: Alice Springs & Central Australia, Darwin

About the Organisation

At Life Without Barriers, we're all about creating safe, supportive environments where children and young people can thrive. Every day, we work closely with families, carers, and communities to help shape brighter futures. From supporting children and families to empowering people with disability, mental health, or those seeking refuge — we're here to break down barriers and build better lives. We want to employ people who reflect the diversity of our clients to ensure we can support each client's individual needs and wants. We encourage people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background and people with disability to apply.

What you'll do

As a House Manager you will be responsible for leading a team of Residential Youth Workers to support young people who have been placed in Out of Home Care by the NT Department of Children & Families. You will seek to partner with families and other key stakeholders to ensure a strong support network for our young people. You will be passionate about involving family, and supporting young people's connection to culture; your sense of adventure will take you to remote communities around the Northern Territory. You will be a compassionate, strengths‐based leader who creates a supportive and inclusive environment for your team, and you will be an advocate for the young people you support, believing in giving all children and young people a voice.

Skills & Experience You'll Require

* Either hold or be actively working towards a Cert IV in Child & Family Intervention or another relevant qualification.
* Experience working with children who are at risk or in the care of Child Protection Family Services, and experience working with vulnerable people.
* Experience working in a 24/7 residential care setting in a senior support worker or supervisor role.
* Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR Certification. Must be obtained at your own cost and prior to commencement.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check, Working with Children Check, and NT Child Protection Check.

Benefits

* Opportunity to utilise NFP Salary Sacrifice to increase your take‐home pay.
* Allocated pool car to garage at home.
* Based in Alice Springs.
* Monthly RDO.
* Flexible shift patterns with the stability of a set roster, plus the option to pick up extra shifts if you choose.
* Opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and their families.
* Career development and training opportunities with one of Australia's largest social‐purpose organisations, without needing to leave Alice Springs.
* Be part of a supportive and welcoming team culture that values diversity, community, and cultural connection.
* Access to salary packaging to increase your take‐home pay, plus penalty rates for nights, weekends, and public holidays.
