Overview
A great leadership opportunity for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager - Chemotherapy to provide support to the Nurse Unit Manager in the leadership of nurses on the Chemotherapy Ward.
In this role, and as a Registered Nurse, you will provide proficient, person centred clinical nursing/midwifery care and/or individual case management to patients/clients in a defined clinical area. Accepting accountability for your own practice standards, but also activities delegated to others and in the guidance and development of less experienced staff.
As Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM), you will undertake a portfolio within which you will:
* promote continuity and consistency of care in collaboration with other ANUM and the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM)
* Assist the NUM in implementation of practice changes, and
* assist the NUM in undertaking management responsibilities, eg. performance management processes, recruitment, staffing, leave management, rostering, work allocation and attendance management, financial and supplies planning and monitoring.
Eligibility
The successful applicant will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate and a post graduate qualification in Chemotherapy Nursing or similar, or be prepared to undertake the same. They will also have at least 3 years post registration nursing experience or be currently classified as a clinical Nurse/Midwife.
