With the recent award of a major mining contract at Tronox's Cooljarloo Mineral Sands Mine in Western Australia, we are expanding our team and seeking dedicated professionals to help us deliver excellence on site.
We are now recruiting for multiple roles across Mine Management, Mine Operations, and Maintenance Departments. This is your opportunity to join a high-performing team on a significant new project, where your growth and expertise will be pivotal to our shared success.
About the Role
We are seeking experienced Leading Hands to support day-to-day operations at the Cooljarloo Mine Site. This full-time position works closely with Supervisors to guide crews, support production activities and maintain a strong safety culture across site operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support daily activities for crews onsite
* Assist Supervisors with planning, co-ordination and task allocation
* Monitor work areas to ensure safe, compliant and efficient operations
* Conduct pre-starts, toolbox talks and safety communication
* Report hazards, incidents and performance updates promptly
* Promote a positive team culture and uphold company values
About you
Must Have
* Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent.
* Prior experience as a Leading Hand or similar leadership role in mining, civil or earthmoving
* Ability to lead teams, motivate peers and communicate effectively
* Solid problem-solving skills and proactive work ethic
Nice to have
* Additional machine operating tickets
* Leadership or supervisory training (e.g., Cert IV in Leadership & Management)
* Exposure to reporting or basic administrative tasks
