Are you passionate about driving housing supply and improving affordability? Do you want to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of housing in NSW?
The NSW Government has set an ambitious target to deliver 377,000 new homes by July 2029 under the National Housing Accord. The newly established Housing Delivery Authority (HDA) plays a pivotal role in achieving this goal by streamlining planning approvals for major housing developments and driving the delivery of much-needed homes. As the Executive Director, Panels and Housing Delivery, you will provide strategic leadership and expert guidance to ensure housing projects are delivered efficiently and effectively, aligning with government priorities and community expectations.
About the role
In this high-profile role, you will shape and lead the strategic direction of the Housing Delivery Authority, ensuring it delivers on the NSW Government's housing objectives. You will provide expert advice to the Minister and the HDA Board on complex housing projects, approvals, and delivery strategies while leading multidisciplinary teams to evaluate and assess major housing proposals.
You will also drive reforms and policy initiatives that enhance planning processes, governance, and risk management frameworks. By fostering strong relationships with government agencies, industry stakeholders, and community groups, you will deliver holistic housing solutions that create positive community outcomes.
This is a rare opportunity to take on a career-defining role where you will directly impact housing supply and affordability across NSW. In this role, you will be at the forefront of policy reform, driving the efficient delivery of major housing projects that make a real difference to communities.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be an accomplished senior executive with proven experience in leading large-scale housing, infrastructure or urban development programs, ideally within the government sector. You will also possess strong expertise in planning processes, development assessment, and policy reform, particularly in state significant development projects.
The key to your success will be your strong leadership and people management skills coupled with your ability to lead high-performing teams in complex operating environments. You will also be confident in navigating complex political landscapes that exist at the intersection of multiple levels of government, be adept at building strategic partnerships and engaging with diverse stakeholder groups to deliver practical, results-driven solutions.
