Overview
Actaskin is a solutions-driven brand on a mission to end skin cancers. We’re setting a new standard with products that make sun protection second nature — from daily supplements that repair UV damage to world-class diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers.
Our goal is to keep people safe in the sun without the fear of developing this disease by innovating on the past, pushing the industry forward, and building products people actually use. This role is the first organic media hire and offers a rare opportunity to help shape how Actaskin shows up online.
Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. This is a part-time, casual role with 15–20 hours per week, offering a mix of remote work and Brisbane-based collaboration.
About the Role
We’re looking for a creative and motivated Graduate Social Media & Content Coordinator to join us part-time/casual. This is a hands-on role for someone in their final year of university, freshly graduated, or pursuing a master’s, who’s hungry for real responsibility.
You’ll create content across social media and email that builds trust, loyalty, and engagement. The role is based in Brisbane to enable close collaboration with the founders on content creation (e.g., founder-led reels, behind-the-scenes shoots, UGC-style videos, storytelling).
What You’ll Do
- Create, publish, and manage content across social and email.
- Write captions, hooks, and scripts that feel human, not corporate.
- Shoot and edit short-form video (UGC, reels, b‑roll, founder-style).
- Plan and deliver a content calendar that aligns with brand pillars.
- Build and maintain a content system so assets are easy to find, reuse, and adapt across channels.
- Translate health and skincare insights into clear, engaging stories.
- Track performance data and use it to improve future content.
- Support community engagement by jumping into comments and DMs.
What We’re Looking For
This role is suited to candidates who are:
- Completing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Media, Communications, or similar (Master’s students welcome).
- Experienced in creating content through internships, freelance work, side projects, or your own socials.
Skills & Behaviours We Value
- Confident with short-form video (shooting + editing in Cap Cut, Adobe, Canva, or similar).
- Strong writing chops with an instinct for social hooks.
- Curious, experimental, and comfortable testing new ideas.
- Systems-minded: organized enough to structure content under pillars, tag it properly, and build scalable workflows.
- Sharp observer: listens to comments/DMs and uses feedback to improve content.
- Community-focused: engages online to build trust, not just answer questions.
- Agile and trend-aware: quick to pivot when something resonates.
- Collaborative: weave in founder voices, testimonials, or expert soundbites to bring stories to life.
- Excited about brand building: help shape voice, tone, and identity across channels.
Why Join Actaskin
- Ground-level impact: Decide how our brand shows up online. You’ll help write the playbook.
- Direct access: Work closely with the founders with fast feedback and mentorship.
- Career-building opportunity: Build your portfolio with real projects that matter.
- Flexibility: 15–20 hrs per week, with a mix of remote work and Brisbane-based collaboration.
- Purpose: Your work helps change behaviors around sun safety and skin cancer.
