The Role

Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Instrumental Music Teacher of Piano to join our vibrant and supportive music community. As an Instrumental Music Teacher of Piano, you will deliver individual piano lessons, supporting students' technical development and musical progression.

This is a part‐time (approximately 0.6 FTE) fixed‐term replacement position for Term 2 of the 2026 school year, commencing 20 April 2026 to 26 June 2026.

The role will involve teaching across at least two campuses, with campuses located in Essendon, Moonee Ponds and Keilor East, offering variety and the opportunity to work within a collaborative, multi‐campus environment.

While this position is advertised at approximately 0.6 FTE, applications from suitably qualified part‐time candidates will be considered.

The Successful Candidate Will Demonstrate The Following
* Relevant qualifications and experience in teaching piano
* Skills as an accompanist
* Ability to engage and inspire students in individual instrumental lessons and ensembles
* Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff
* Support for a culture of thinking, student care, and wellbeing
* Support for the school's music events and activities

Applicants must be suitably qualified and experienced, holding either a VIT registration or a current Working With Children Check. You must also be eligible to work in Australia.
