Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse to provide advanced, person-centred nursing care within our Prison Health Service at Maryborough Correctional Centre.
This role delivers specialised assessment, coordination, and treatment for individuals receiving opiate substitution therapy, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support harm reduction and recovery-focused outcomes.
To achieve this, you will work closely with the OST Nurse Practitioner and the OST Medical Officer to ensure quality and cost-effective nursing services which are consistent with contemporary standards and evidence-informed practice.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Provide expert clinical knowledge specific to Medication-Assisted Treatment of Opioid Dependence providing Opiate Substitution Treatment (OST) to prisoners at the Maryborough Correctional Centre.
* Provide expert clinical and client-centred care within the Prison Health Services (PHS).
* Demonstrate leadership in clinical decision making to provide and/or coordinate care to OST clients.
