Senior Solicitor
* An exciting opportunity to join NSW Independent Casino Commission (NICC), we are responsible for the supervision and regulation of the NSW casino industry
* This is a Clerk Grade 9/10 role with a salary range of $129,464 - $142,665 per annum plus superannuation
* Ongoing role based in Sydney, NSW - Hybrid working arrangements may be available within business operational needs
About NICC
The NSW Independent Casino Commission (NICC) is an independent statutory body, constituted by the Casino Control Act 1992. The Commission is responsible for the supervision and regulation of the NSW casino industry, upholding the highest standards of integrity, overseeing reform of the sector and monitoring and enforcing compliance with regulations.
The NICC plays a vital role in rebuilding public trust in the NSW casino industry through visible and robust regulatory oversight and through the development and implementation of requirements and standards that appropriately address risk and harms arising from casino operations. This includes implementing stringent new controls to prevent money laundering and other criminal activity.
About The Role
The Senior Solicitor provides independent legal advice and assistance, including written and oral advice on complex legal questions, interpretation of relevant legislation, and coordination of legal proceedings and external specialist legal advice, to support NICC in exercising its legislative powers and functions.

About You
We are looking for someone with a minimum of five years post admission experience with the following areas of key knowledge and experience:
* Superior statutory interpretation skills and familiarity with liquor and gaming legislation.
* Experience in administrative law and/or litigation.
* Experience in regulatory law and/or litigation.
* Experience in commercial and/or contract law.
