* Lead school-based engagement strategy to strengthen the Secretary's connection with staff, students and communities
* Create high-impact content and comms that uplift the Secretary's visibility across schools, early childhood and higher education
* Build strong partnerships across Public Schools and internal teams to coordinate visits, insights, and strategic engagement opportunities
The School Liaison, Office of the Secretary, in partnership with Executive Support Officers, is responsible for providing strategic advice and delivery of school, early childhood and higher education engagement opportunities for the Secretary. The purpose of this engagement is to enable the Secretary to regularly and proactively meet with staff and learners, to inform the design and delivery of the department's priority programs and strategic priorities, to ensure consistent and clear engagement with the department's NSW Plan for Public Education.

About you
* Excel at building trusted relationships with school leaders, teachers, and stakeholders, navigating complex environments with confidence and tact
* Communicate with clarity and impact, able to translate insights from schools into concise, compelling briefings and advice for senior executives
* Think strategically and act proactively, spotting opportunities to strengthen engagement between the Secretary and school communities
* Manage competing priorities with ease, coordinating visits, insights and information flows across multiple teams
* Bring strong judgement, professionalism and resilience, consistently representing the Secretary's office with integrity and credibility
* Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements of the role
* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or demonstrated relevant equivalent professional experience and training.
* Current and valid Working with Children Check Clearance for paid employment.
* Hold a current and valid NSW Driver Licence, with the ability to travel for school visits and stakeholder engagement
* Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
