About the role
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our Maintenance team. This role ensures the effective servicing and maintenance of the mobile fleet across site. This hands-on role is responsible for prioritising and coordinating mechanical servicing, trouble shooting and providing follow up as needed across 3 mill sites, in Mount Gambier, SA.
Key Responsibilities
* Work closely with Maintenance team to improve and implement preventative maintenance (PMs)
* Diagnose, test, and repair a diverse range of equipment types within mobile fleet.
* Carry out inspections, routine maintenance, lubrication, and overhauls as per scheduled work orders (including PMs, corrective work, and project work)
* Work closely with the team to establish and improve stores catalogue items and stocking of Mechanic Workshop parts and consumables.
Experience, Qualifications and Skills
* Certificate III in Automotive Diesel Engine Technology or equivalent.
* Diesel and heavy machine mechanical experience.
* Current drivers' licence (and endorsements) suitable for driving, operating mobile fleet or the ability to quickly gain these licences endorsements.
* High Risk Work Licence.
* Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in servicing and fault-finding for heavy vehicle electrical, hydraulic, engine, transmission, lubrication and pneumatic systems.
