About the Role:
The successful candidate will play a key role in providing health and safety leadership including:
* Field and site travel required to support Projects and Shutdowns across the operations.
* Support health and safety initiatives and promote a safety culture within our operations.
* Facilitate incident investigations within the investigation framework, standard and procedures.
* Identifying and reporting opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.
* Facilitate risk management.
* Support HSEQ strategic initiatives and safety performance including building the capability of the workforce to identify hazards and perform risk reviews.
* Provide proactive advice, direction and support to ensure that ongoing training in safety awareness is a focus for all levels of the workforce.
About You:
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have skills, experience and attributes:
* Cert IV Occupational Health and Safety.
* Cert IV Trainer and Assessor (advantageous).
* In depth knowledge of safety and environmental requirements in the Ports and Mining Industries.
* Understanding of onsite requirements through Projects and Contracts.
* Demonstrable experience in delivering risk and risk control outcomes.
* Excellent communications skills, written and verbal.
* Sound knowledge of MS Office Suite, including SharePoint, Excel, Word.
* Good time management skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
* Ability to multitask and priorities activities and assist the team to achieve the desired outcome.
* Sound knowledge of site compliance requirements.
* Demonstrated experience in building leader capability in HSE outcomes and in facilitating safety incident investigations.
* Any experience to working within a major hazard facility and with dangerous goods will be highly regarded.
