Position

As a Department Manager, you will take ownership and provide full support to your department on achieving business goals, providing unique and timeless client experience as well as managing department operation. You will also be responsible for building a highly motivated team, developing your staff and transmitting savoir-faire to anticipate and exceed clients' future desires.

Job responsibilities

Driving Sales / Business Performance

* Lead the department in driving sales and closely monitor its performance to ensure sales opportunities are maximized.
* Motivate the team to achieve sales target & other business goals by demonstrating sales leadership and provide full floor support.
* Maintain the sales mix and ensure the staff have advised all clients across the Brand & all product categories for cross-selling.
* Improve selling techniques, clientele and product knowledge of your team to deliver the best Dior client service.
* Plan, implement actions and act proactively to cope with the market situation and improve business performance.
* Develop your department in a comprehensive and strategic way.

Client Development

* Lead the department to maximize recruitment opportunities and maintain excellent client relationships.
* Promote clientele in the department to ensure the highest level of client experience is delivered and maintained.
* Be one of the Brand ambassadors in private appointments arranged by selling staff.
* Encourage the use of Be Dior among the team to optimize client loyalty.
* Support all kinds of Boutique events that contribute to client development as well as Boutique performance.

People Management and Development

* Be a leader to manage and motivate the department for achieving exceptional results including sales, client development and other business goals.
* Set individual and department goals with your staff, monitor and assess their performance against the goals regularly to make sure the progress is on the right track.
* Provide constructive & qualitative feedback to the staff when necessary.
* Coach the staff for performance improvement.
* Encourage and promote curiosity, diversity & collaboration in the team and enhance synergies of the Boutique.
* Maintain a harmonious working environment and create a good team spirit.
* Train the Supervisors in your department to manage junior staff.
* Identify the potential of each staff, review individual career aspiration and their development plans with Boutique Manager periodically, select and take appropriate actions to train the staff to the next level.

Boutique Operations and Back of House Management

* Manage the daily operations of the department.
* Act as the Boutique-in-charge when Boutique Manager is away.
* Provide all rounded support to the floor and cashiering.
* Ensure the upkeep of selling space, visual merchandising and image of the store are in highest standard.
* Guarantee the proper application of internal procedures and guidelines are in line with Dior requirements.
* Cooperate with BOH and Merchandising team on inventory management & replenishment.
* Regular catch up with Boutique Manager about the department updates and prepare the required reports for management review when necessary.

Profile

Work Experience

* Minimum 7 years of relevant experience with at least 4 years at managerial level in luxury retail industry.

* Target-oriented and client centric.
* Capability to drive for results and deliver excellence.
* Strategic thinking, strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Self-motivated, proactive and passionate in luxury fashion industry.
* Well organized and detail-minded.
* Able to work under pressure.
* Proficient in English, other language is an advantage.
