Key Responsibilities
1. Digital Marketing & Communications
• Manage, maintain and update the PAT website, ensuring content is accurate, timely, accessible, and aligned with organisational objectives.
• Draft, edit and publish written content including:
• News and member benefit updates
• Campaign messaging
• Member alerts and announcements
• Advocacy and industrial communications
• Manage the Association's social media channels, including content planning, posting, moderation and engagement.
• Develop and maintain a content calendar aligned to campaigns, bargaining cycles, and key organisational priorities.
• Ensure consistent branding, tone and messaging across all digital platforms.
2. Member Engagement
• Develop and implement strategies to increase member engagement, awareness and participation across digital and in-person channels.
• Translate complex industrial, legal or policy issues into clear, member-focused communications.
• Support engagement campaigns related to enterprise bargaining, ballots, industrial action, and advocacy initiatives.
• Monitor engagement metrics (website traffic, social media reach, engagement rates) and provide insights to inform strategy.
3. Stakeholder & Partner Engagement
• Identify, establish and manage relationships with external stakeholders, sponsors and commercial partners.
• Negotiate and develop member benefit programs, including discounts, offers and exclusive services for members.
• Maintain a register of member benefits and ensure offers are current, clearly communicated and well promoted.
• Liaise with Tasmanian businesses, service providers and aligned organisations to expand the Association's value proposition.
4. Campaigns & Promotions
• Plan and deliver marketing and engagement campaigns to promote:
• Membership benefits
• Events, initiatives and services
• Coordinate promotional materials across digital platforms and other channels as required.
• Develop new sponsorship arrangements and strategic engagement with existing and new stakeholders.
• Support events, launches or member initiatives through targeted communication and promotion.
5. Governance, Compliance & Reputation
• Ensure all communications are consistent with the Association's values, policies and industrial obligations.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive or industrial information.
• Support the organisation's public reputation through accurate, professional and responsible communications.
Key Tasks (Day-to-Day)
• Support general reception, correspondence and administrative office tasks
• Draft and publish website articles, social media posts and digital updates
• Update member benefit listings and promote offers to members
• Schedule and monitor social media activity
• Respond to online enquiries and moderate comments where appropriate
• Liaise with external partners regarding discounts and sponsorships
• Track engagement data and prepare short reports or summaries
• Support internal staff and elected officials with communication materials
• Assist with campaigns, surveys, ballots or member communications as required
An ability to develop and sustain business relationships with a variety of people and organisations and a happy and positive approach to work, is essential.
