What you'll be doing
The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) is responsible for the coordination of patient services, unit management and nursing staff management within the Opioid Agonist Treatment Service consistent with the strategic directions of Mid North Coast Local Health District.
The Nurse Unit Manager takes overall responsibility for the health care environment and standard of patient care. As the registered nurse in charge of the unit, the Nurse Unit Manager performs as a clinical leader and manager with accountability for quality and safety, patient flow, change management and the experience of patients on Opioid Agonist Treatment.
The Nurse Unit Manager is pivotal to the coordination of patient care, unit management and leadership of the professions of nursing and midwifery to ensure delivery of high-quality patient care and efficient use of resources.
The Nurse Unit Manager reports to the Nurse Manager 3, Opioid Agonist Treatment. and SUPPS Services and works closely with the other Opioid Agonist Treatment Nurse Unit Managers across the District.
