Position Overview
We require a Sterilisation Technician to join our dynamic Central Sterilizing Services Department. CSSD works closely with Theatre staff to supply high-quality equipment for the daily running of our theatres. Primary responsibilities include washing, packing, and sterilisation of all theatre instruments, including those for our ward and outside clients, following all relevant standards.
Candidate Requirements
* Minimum Certificate III in Sterilisation Practices or willingness to undertake study to achieve this qualification
* Hands-on ability to apply infection control principles, manage wastes, and biohazards related to the role
* Availability, flexibility, and willingness to work shift duties across all reprocessing areas, including weekends, public holidays, and on-calls after a qualifying period, with cross-campus work when required
* Adaptability to reasonable changes and active support for department's Quality Management Systems and activities
