Job Description
As the Head of Finance for the New Zealand operations you oversee the finance operations of a subsidiary within a globally recognised market leader, working in close collaboration with the local senior leadership team. In addition to overseeing core financial activities, you will support broader corporate functions including working capital management, funding strategies, and intercompany transactions. As a key business partner, you will contribute to strategic initiatives such as pricing, tender development, and critical decision-making. Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the finance team to ensure smooth financial operations.
Develop and implement financial strategies to support business objectives.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
Provide insights and recommendations to the executive team on financial performance.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors and financial institutions.
Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and efficiency improvements.
Support decision-making through accurate financial analysis and modelling.
The Successful Applicant
Professional accounting qualifications such as CA or CPA.
Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role within the industrial, manufacturing, engineering or logistics sectors would be desirable.
Strong knowledge of financial management, forecasting, and reporting.
Ability to lead and mentor a team effectively.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Previous experience in leading an ERP implementation would be desirable.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
