Join a forward-thinking team driving cyber data initiatives that protect and optimise operations. This contract role is ideal for someone who thrives on problem-solving in large-scale data environments and wants to provide actionable insights that influence security decisions. You'll contribute to a variety of projects, from refining existing cyber analytics products to designing new tests, dashboards, and reporting frameworks that inform senior stakeholders. Must be available to start within the next 4 weeks Duration initially 4 months (high likelihood of extension) Pay rate: Up to $928 super per day Location: NSW, 2153 (3 day office requirement) Key Requirements: Strong SQL skills and experience analysing complex datasets Solid understanding of cyber security terminology, frameworks, and best practices Clear understanding of the difference between threats, vulnerabilities, and risks Experience translating technical data into meaningful insights for non-technical stakeholders Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects and tasks in a dynamic environment Preferred Skills / Tools: Experience with GCP, GBQ, DBT, and Looker Studio or equivalent BI platforms Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and automation in data processes Knowledge of Mitre frameworks and threat intelligence methodologies Experience with continuous assurance, graph databases, and security monitoring tools Responsibilities: Analyse and interpret cyber data to provide visibility into security control effectiveness and coverage Develop dashboards, reports, and visualisations to communicate exposures, trends, and risk areas Support the design, testing, and refinement of cyber data initiatives and analytics projects Collaborate with stakeholders across business and technical teams to define priorities and ensure project outcomes are actionable Monitor and evaluate control gaps, recommending improvements or optimisations to reduce exposure Contribute to small to medium-scale projects that enhance security insight and data capabilities Benefits: Work on high-impact cyber data projects with exposure to senior stakeholders Hands-on experience with advanced cyber analytics tools and methodologies Flexible working arrangements Opportunity for contract extension based on performance and progress Does this sound like you?
