This role requires a strategic thinker with strong financial acumen and excellent management skills to ensure the effective administration of the family's AUS based operations. This role is ideal for an experienced accountant with a strong background in business services. This individual will report to the family's US based Family Office. Primary Responsibilities: Oversee all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting of AUS based operations. Monitor cash flow and liquidity to meet the family's operational needs. Maintain strong relationships and coordination with the US Family Office to ensure comprehensive management of the family's affairs. Communicate financial information in a clear and understandable manner to family members. Assist in day-to-day operations of the family's personal affairs, including administrative tasks. Serve as the primary point of contact for family members regarding financial and operational matters. Qualifications: Business/Commerce degree in Accounting. Completed CA/CPA qualification. Minimum 5 years' experience in finance, operations, or a similar role, preferably within a family office or wealth management firm. Solid month end accounting skills Experience with preparing GST, FBT and payroll tax returns. Experience supporting agriculture or real estate operations a plus. Ability to use, navigate and troubleshoot common client accounting software packages (i.e., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero) Experience with most aspects of accounting and tax compliance, including preparation of financial statements, tax reconciliations, income tax returns and tax effect accounting for companies, trusts and tax consolidated groups. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. High level of discretion and confidentiality.
