Our radiographers are integral to delivering excellence in clinical care, working within their scope of training, experience, and credentialing. We work closely and enjoy great relationships with a multi-disciplinary team of doctors, nurses and allied health professional to provide a strong service with a focus on development and patient-centred care. Radiographers participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and outcomes, and we actively support research and use of innovative clinical practice models.
The medical imaging department is well-equipped and provides a broad range of services including general X-ray (emergency, inpatient, outpatient, and paediatrics), theatre imaging, CT, and ultrasound. Operating seven days a week from 8:00 am to midnight, with overnight on-call coverage, the department sees a diverse range of presentations and offers a dynamic and inclusive working environment. Staff also benefit from mobility opportunities across the wider Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District, from tertiary referral centres to regional sites.

What you will bring to the role
* Degree in medical radiation science-diagnostic or equivalent.
* Current / provisional AHPRA registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (MRPB)
* Holds current EPA IA14Y Radiation Licence
* Previous experience in a hospital environment including areas such as theatre, CT, mobile and trauma radiography.
* Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Demonstrated understanding of work, health and safety and infection control in a radiology context.
* Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment or independently as required.
* Demonstrated ability to problem solve and manage time effectively in a clinical environment.
