About your new employer:
This Australian business has been in operation for over 25 years and has grown to have a presence in Australia as well as North America. This business is embracing new technologies that will streamline the way the business operates and allows for better oversight and effective management. This will include an investment in AI as well as building out a new data and analytics function to fully utilise existing data to help the business reach it's goals.
About your new role:
This newly created role will work closely with the IT Manager to support the build-out of a new Data & Analytics function for the business. The core function of this role is to utilise company data to provide actionable insights to key decision makers that will drive strategic business outcomes. Being newly created, this is an excellent opportunity to implement software and systems to benefit the business prior to being the subject specialist for all Data and Analytics related queries.
Key tasks aligned to this role include:
• Participate in the selection and implementation of products in the build-out phase of the project.
• Develop visually appealing and informative BI Reports in consultation with the business stakeholders.
• Set up secure processes for data collection that will include developing data governance frameworks.
• Ensure the ongoing integrity and quality of data that includes effective and secure management.
• Engage with Data owners to identify correct classification of data sets whilst supporting easy and secure access to data.
About You:
• You will hold a formal qualification or certification within IT, Business Intelligence, Data and / or Analytics.
• You have tangible experience working in Data role whilst also bringing experience supporting windows environments which incorporates infrastructure (TCP /IP, DNS, DHCP, WIFI & Firewall products).
• You bring experience working within modern Microsoft technologies that includes MS Fabric, PowerBI, Sharepoint, Azure, D365.
• You have prior exposure to delivering IT projects whilst partnering with stakeholders from different verticals.
• Your strong communication skills both written and verbal as well as your ability to build strong working relationships will ensure your success in this role.
