We have a full-time position for a Restaurant Manager available in Cairns, QLD 4870.
SKILLS
The role requires you to hold at least a relevant AQF Diploma or equivalent qualification and at least 1 year of relevant full‐time employment experience or at least 3 years of relevant experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The role is to manage daily operations to ensure efficient service and a high‐quality customer experience. It includes managing and supervising staff, collaborating with the Chef on menu planning, delivering excellent customer service, managing inventory and supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, working autonomously while reporting directly to ownership, monitoring financial performance, controlling costs, handling administrative duties, and driving business growth through marketing and team coordination with minimal oversight.
TASKS
* Manage daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and coordination between front and back of house.
* Lead, train and manage staff, including recruitment, rostering and performance oversight.
* Plan and develop menus with the Chef, considering seasonality, pricing and customer preferences.
* Plan and coordinate special functions and events, including bookings, staffing and logistics.
* Deliver excellent customer service and resolve guest feedback and complaints promptly.
* Manage inventory and ordering, maintaining stock levels and minimising waste.
* Ensure compliance with all health, safety and licensing requirements.
* Monitor financial performance, controlling costs and managing budgets to meet targets.
* Drive sales and profitability through promotions and customer engagement strategies.
* Coordinate with kitchen teams to ensure food quality, consistency and timely service.
* Oversee accounting and administrative tasks, including reconciliations and reporting.
* Lead local marketing initiatives and community engagement to promote the venue.

SALARY
* The salary offered will be $75,000 to $85,000 per annum, negotiated based on your experience.
