Overview
Senior Business Analyst, Portfolio Management at MUFG Pension & Market Services.
This role focuses on delivering transformation across a portfolio of strategic projects, partnering with Project Managers, senior leaders, and cross-functional squads to define, document, and deliver business and technical requirements through all phases of the project lifecycle.
Location: Parramatta or Melbourne based | 12 months Fixed term contract
What You'll Be Doing
Define Business Problems & Requirements: Lead the investigation of business problems, gathering technical and non-technical information to define detailed business and technical requirements.
Elicit and Document Stakeholder Needs: Identify stakeholders and facilitate workshops to capture, validate, and document business needs, priorities, use cases, and system requirements.
Requirements Traceability & Quality Assurance: Ensure traceability between business/technical requirements through development and testing, and support defect investigation and test documentation with QA and PMs.
Process & System Analysis: Analyse data, impacted systems, and customer experiences to validate requirements, identify change points, and drive process improvements.
Business Process Modelling & Creative Problem Solving: Model processes and apply creative thinking to solve business challenges, ensuring clear documentation of outcomes.
Team Leadership & Mentorship: Provide coaching and guidance on complex issues, fostering capability growth and adherence to BA best practices.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders, demonstrating leadership in facilitation and collaboration.
RAID & Reporting Management: Lead RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) management and support decision-making with dashboards, reports, and insights.
What You Bring
5+ years experience as a Technical Business Analyst covering both Business Requirements and Technical Requirements
Strong background in both business and technical requirements gathering
Experience in Agile environments and project delivery frameworks
Proficiency in tools like JIRA, ServiceNow, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365
Skilled in stakeholder management and presenting to senior leadership
Solid analytical, documentation, and facilitation skills
Familiarity with project management fundamentals
A team-first mindset and ability to thrive in ambiguity
Experience writing procedures and documenting processes
Strong testing exposure would be highly advantageous
