We're looking for an enthusiastic, people focused HSE coordinator who wants to do more than tick boxes You will be part of our operations team, responsible for promoting a safe and healthy workplace environment, ensuring compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with local, national, and industry HSE regulations.
* Conducting regular safety inspections, site and task related risk assessments and providing safety advice to staff and contractors.
* Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare detailed reports and follow up on corrective actions.
* Facilitate safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and HSE inductions.
* Maintain and manage HSE records, permits, and documentation.
* Developing and reviewing JSA's and SWMS as part of the HTS continuous improvement.
* Monitor the use of PPE and ensure all safety equipment is certified and functional.
* Lead emergency drills and maintain emergency preparedness procedures.
* Training & Inductions: carry out driver and depot inductions including manual handling, fatigue awareness, load restraint and spill and emergency procedures.
* Maintain up to date training and competency records.
* Manage Environmental Compliance
Qualification and skills:
Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (BSB41419) — minimum
Excellent Communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and apart of a team environment.
Great Organisational Skills and ability to prioritise tasks.
