The Opportunity
At Monash University, your work helps shape healthier communities. We are seeking an Associate Professor (Education‑Focused) of Allied Health Workforce Development to play a key leadership role in transforming allied health education and workforce capability across Victoria and beyond.
This role sits within the School of Primary and Allied Health Care (SPAHC) and will contribute to innovative, interdisciplinary education models that address workforce shortages, strengthen work‑integrated learning, and improve health outcomes, particularly in regional and community settings.
About The Role
As Associate Professor (Education‑Focused), you will provide academic leadership across a range of strategic education initiatives, including:
Designing and delivering interdisciplinary allied health education models
Leading innovative work‑integrated learning, including student‑led clinics at the Peninsula Campus and Seaford Healthy Futures Hub
Contributing to the development of Peninsula Health Clinical School education and research activities
Supporting course accreditation and quality assurance
Undertaking and leading education‑focused research with impact, including publications and competitive funding
You will work closely with the Director of Education, Deputy Director – Work Integrated Learning, and academic and clinical colleagues across allied health disciplines.
About You
You are an accomplished academic leader with a strong record in education‑focused scholarship and workforce development. You will bring:
A doctoral qualification and/or equivalent recognised experience in a relevant discipline
Demonstrated excellence in education program design, delivery and innovation
A strong publication record in education or allied health‑related research
Experience leading interdisciplinary initiatives and engaging with industry and health partners
Proven ability to mentor and develop academic staff and students
High‑level interpersonal skills and a collaborative, collegiate approach
Experience contributing to course accreditation and governance activities
