Client
Our client is a leading infrastructure organisation driving large-scale transformation through innovation, capability development, and world-class operational excellence. They are seeking an experienced Senior Instructional Designer to join a leading capability and learning team on a contract basis. This role will focus on designing and delivering high-quality, engaging learning solutions across both accredited and non-accredited training programs, including Registered Training Organisation (RTO) offerings.

About the Role
You will be responsible for designing innovative and learner-focused training materials that support technical capability, safety, and compliance outcomes across the organisation.
Working closely with subject matter experts, trainers, and stakeholders, you will translate complex technical information into clear, engaging, and effective learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop engaging eLearning, facilitator-led, blended, and self-paced learning programs
* Develop training materials aligned to nationally recognised training packages and organisational capability frameworks
* Create facilitator guides, learner resources, assessments, and supporting documentation
* Apply adult learning principles and modern instructional design methodologies
* Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop accurate and engaging content
* Ensure learning materials remain current, relevant, and aligned to industry and organisational standards
* Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery
* Support training delivery, assessment, and quality assurance activities as required
* Review feedback and training data to continuously improve learning programs
* Contribute to auditing and evaluation of training quality and effectiveness
About You
You are an experienced instructional designer with strong technical capability and a passion for creating engaging learning experiences. You thrive in complex environments and are confident working with subject matter experts to translate technical content into accessible learning.
* Extensive experience in instructional design and eLearning development
* Advanced skills in Articulate 360 and Vyond
* Proficiency in Photoshop and/or Illustrator
* Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design best practice
* Experience working with SMEs to develop technical learning content
* Strong project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
* Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
