Records Management Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Records Management Specialist to design and implement a contemporary records management program across our organization.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing the retention & disposal program for records generated by business units, advising on appraisal, classification, transfer and records procedures, and responding to internal queries on best practice.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a comprehensive records management program
* Advise on records procedures and provide guidance to staff
* Analyse data, conduct audits and prepare recommendation reports aligned to laws, policies and standards
* Create and deliver training to build a positive records management culture
* Investigate, assess and appraise significant records; manage transfer to the Heritage Centre
* Manage Committee and Board minutes across physical and digital collections
* Support heritage services and research requests
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a professional archivist/records specialist qualification with excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, planning and problem-solving ability, and the capacity to work productively in a busy environment.
Benefits:
This is a permanent part-time role with 22.8 hours/3 days per week, with additional hours may be required during events.
