Salary: AUD - AUD per annum + Super
We have a fantastic opportunity for an Operations Manager to join one of our key Defence suppliers leading a team of technicians and operational personnel. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our site runs smoothly and leading the team for accountability, support and training. This is a high-paced setting, and those with a hands-on attitude will thrive. Those with previous management or maritime operations management experience, ideally ex-defence, are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the general running and upkeep of our site.
- Raise suggestions to improve our products and processes.
- Manage team operations, maintenance planning and performance outcomes.
- Training and delivery, systems upkeep and customer management.
- Stakeholder engagement, project delivery and drive key maintenance outcomes.
- Develop long-term partnerships with preferred suppliers, new and existing.
- Lead compliance for quality assurance and product servicing and deployability.
- Write up reports following the inspection and tests, submit to the admin team for processing.
The experience, qualifications and skills you will have
Essential Criteria
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to run a small to medium team with a technical background.
- Strong leadership and team support approach.
- Appetite to deliver work schedule and prioritise customer support and requirements.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Willing to travel as and when required.
- Experience working within an operations or maritime environment ideally supporting product delivery and upkeep.
