About the Role
Delivering high-quality evidence-based clinical care as a Provisional Psychologist is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of adults and their families. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will work towards achieving better health outcomes for individuals aged 18 years and over who experience mental health concerns.
* You will conduct intake and assessments, including risk assessments, care treatment planning, care coordination with internal & external services, and provide brief psychological intervention.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to engage with people from diverse backgrounds. They will also have the ability to advocate on behalf of clients and establish effective relationships with staff, clients, and stakeholders.
Requirements
* A Full AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist or Mental Health Nurse, General or Provisional AHPRA registration as a Psychologist OR AASW registration/eligibility as a Social Worker (suitable for graduate Social Workers wanting to build skills in the mental health field).
* Knowledge and understanding of theory underpinning evidence-based interventions and clinical practice, as well as demonstrated excellence in practical application in areas of mental health and alcohol and drug use.
* Highly developed communication skills, including written, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to engage with people, advocate on their behalf and establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, clients, families, and friends, and stakeholders.
* Experience in using electronic client/customer management systems, ability to use a desktop computer, and experience with Microsoft Office applications.
* Eligible to apply/currently hold a WWCC and NDIS worker screening clearance.
