Remuneration & Employment
Hourly pay: $***** – $***** + Superannuation.
Type: Permanent Part Time.
Position: Telephonist Level 3.
Hours: 8 hours per fortnight / 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday every second week.
Location: Singleton Hospital.
Closing Date: Sunday 16th November.
Responsibilities
Manage the main hospital phone line, answer calls, and direct enquiries to the appropriate wards.
Assist patients and carers with admissions, discharges, and general enquiries.
Enter patient details accurately into hospital systems.
Process payments and transactions, including for overseas visitors.
Follow up with health funds and collate required documentation.
Perform general administrative duties such as filing, documentation, and other clerical tasks.

You bring exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a polite, friendly, and professional approach to every interaction. You're a team player with a willingness to learn, able to multitask, solve problems efficiently, and handle sensitive conversations with empathy and discretion. A proactive, driven self-starter, you can work independently, take initiative, and contribute positively to the team.

To be eligible for permanent employment, you must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand passport. Employment of a temporary visa holder may be granted only if no suitable local candidate is identified.
