Senior Operations Manager
The role of Senior Operations Manager is pivotal in overseeing the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance and engineering functions within a hotel or resort. This position plays a crucial part in ensuring the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of guests while safeguarding the owner's investment.
* Collaborate with senior management to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
* Develop and implement strategies for preventative maintenance across the property, upholding exceptional standards for guest experience.
* Manage the maintenance request system, analyzing frequent issues, timeliness, and implementing improvements as needed.
* Delegate general repairs and maintenance to the engineering team or contractors, ensuring high-quality work.
* Champion resource management improvements and conservation practices.
* Conduct routine testing of fire alarms, emergency lighting, and other critical systems.
* Liaise with directors regarding contractor use, controlling expenditure and ensuring quality standards.
* Ensure efficient and hygienic waste removal, monitoring areas for cleanliness and odour control.
* Closely collaborate with front desk and housekeeping to expedite room turnarounds.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Chief Engineer/Facilities Manager or similar role.
* Strong technical knowledge of building systems (Electrical, HVAC, Mechanical).
* Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations.
* Australian Standards expertise related to facilities management.
* Body/Owners Corporation Experience.
* Strong project management experience.
