Responsibilities
* Perform comprehensive vehicle maintenance and repairs.
* Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in vehicles.
* Provide high‑quality customer service and technical excellence.
* Discuss vehicle problems with drivers/operators to identify faults.
* Test and adjust mechanical parts after repair for proper performance.
* Tune engines using electronic equipment for smoother running.
* Repair and replace worn or defective parts, reassemble mechanical components, and refer to service manuals as needed.
* Perform scheduled maintenance services (oil changes, lubrication, engine tune‑ups) to ensure smooth operation and compliance with pollution regulations.
* Test and repair electrical systems, including lighting, instrumentation, ignition, and electronic fuel injection.
* Reassemble engines and parts after repairs.
* Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
* Respond to vehicle breakdown service calls.
Qualifications
* Australian Trade Certificate in Automotive Technology
* Minimum 1 year experience as a Motor Mechanic in a busy Australian workshop
* Experience with all types of vehicles (not limited to a specific brand)
* Experience with Ultra Tune network or general auto maintenance is an advantage
