Our Williams Sonoma / Pottery Barn / Pottery Barn Kids / West Elm store in XXLOCATIONXX is looking for a Visual Merchandising Assistant to join the team. You'll be working with our Field Visual Merchandising Managers and Store Managers to deliver our in-store visual merchandising plans.
**As a Visual Associate in one of our stores, you will**:
- Work with one of our stores to really get to know our brand DNA - either Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids or West Elm.
- Replenish the sales floor after deliveries arrive and throughout your time in store, ensuring the store is presented to our standards.
- Execute our floor set following plans set by our Field Visual Merchandising Managers.
- Follow a store map including placement and furniture assembly.
- Update signage and ticketing weekly according to current promotions.
- Ensure the store meets our visual merchandising objectives, to drive sales and convey the spirit of the brand.
- Send photo updates to the Field Visual Merchandising Manager, compile weekly visual memo updates and communicate changes to the store team.
- Participate in regular visual walk-through to identify and solve issues.
- Assist with store operations, including keeping the store clean and safe and specialist services, like gift wrapping.
**We think you'll be successful in this role if you**:
- Have experience or a qualification in visual merchandising.
- Have a passion for homewares.
- Have an understanding of design, composition and aesthetics.
- Can interpret and execute a merchandising plan from a visual memo.
- Have an impeccable eye for detail.
- Can motivate, inspire and influence others to maintain visual merchandising standards.
- Have excellent communication, planning, prioritising and organisational skills.
- Have basic IT skills, and experience with Outlook, Excel and Adobe PDF Viewer.
- Are able to fulfil the physical requirements of the role, including being mobile in the store and back of house areas, standing for long periods, working in confined spaces (such as stock rooms), climbing ladders and using other equipment (in line with safety standards), and lifting and mobilising medium to large items (utilising appropriate equipment and safety techniques).
